Hi! I’m Amanda Su, a multimedia journalist based in New York City.
I'm an associate video producer for New York Times Opinion, reporting, producing, and editing videos and short documentaries. I started as a New York Times fellow and won an Emmy Award for my work.
Previously, I reported and produced digital and broadcast stories at ABC News, for the Washington Bureau and Race & Culture Unit. I also reported on government accountability for the nonprofit newsroom PublicSource.
I served as president of The Harvard Crimson, Harvard’s independent daily student newspaper. I led a 350-person staff and directed the organization's editorial, financial, digital, and cultural strategy.
I studied History & Literature at Harvard, focusing on the intersection of ethnic studies and media studies. I wrote my senior thesis on Asian American home movies, for which I won the Hoopes Prize honoring outstanding scholarly research.
